Full Stack Software Engineer

The Job
Required Skills and Experience:

  • Education: BA/BS in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Graphic Design, or related field, OR equivalent experience
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience with web development
  • PHP and/or Python, Node.js, or other web-development framework
  • HTML5, JavaScript (jQuery, Angular.js, or Knockout.js), CSS3 (LESS, Bootstrap or SASS), AJAX, JSON
  • Software development best practices (git, testing/QA, etc) and agile development experience
  • Consuming public or private APIs (RESTful preferred)
  • Relational databases using SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc) and ORM layers
  • Familiarity with Linux
  • Working knowledge of MVC frameworks and best practices

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Object-Oriented (C++, Java, etc.) languages and knowledge of OO paradigms
  • Experience with Joomla! CMS, SalesForce CRM, Box.com API
  • Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Mobile Development in Qt, iOS, Android, Adobe PhoneGap, or Apache Cordova
  • Testing (unit, integration, regression, performance)
  • Documentation of best practices
